For a while now I have been thinking about failure. Specifically about failure to make.

“I want to read about women who can’t make things,” is the first line of Hannah Regel’s The Last Sane Woman.1 A novel I first read months ago, and then again, and then again at the start of the month—so much had this idea of writing about failure lodged in my mind.
